What Does 12 Years in the Industry Look Like?

I've had a chance to shed some light in my recent interview with Apex Systems

The feature that I mentioned in the last newsletter was invigorating. The VOD is on Apex Systems’ Twitch for anyone to watch, but here’s a recap.

Instead of being the interviewer, I became the interviewee for 30 minutes—two host rapid-fire questions, including the chat; real game show vibes. For 30 minutes, I had a chance to reflect on every organization that’s boosted my content from two views to four. Other orgs have given me platforms for thousands or access to their custom-built communities. None of which I take lightly, each time someone takes a chance on me, it pushes my career further. On top of that, I was the first person in this series, ever!

During the interview, I mentioned a clip of me winning a 1,000 Dreams Fund BroadcastHer Grant, here it is. From grant winner to Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEA) community manager, wild ride it’s been.

I love being amongst different audiences because I don’t just represent myself. I represent the communities I’m a part of. As well as, future Black girls wanting to get into gaming and technology. If I get to inspire or encourage just one person, I’m happy with my career choices.
